MindMate Support Team 

We are excited to be working in partnership with the MindMate Support Team (MMST). The MindMate Support Team is a Mental Health Support Team which is part of a joint national initiative between the Department of Education and NHS England, following the 2017 Green Paper 'Transforming Children and Young People's Mental Health Provision'.

 

The MMST is an Early Intervention/preventative service. Their aim is to improve access to emotional wellbeing support for children & young people up to the age of 19 who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

The MMST will be working closely with school staff to provide:

  • Staff training

  • Information sessions for parents and carers

  • Whole school assemblies

  • Class workshops

  • Small group interventions

  • 1:1 support for children

The MindMate Support Team can offer school advice and support in a number of areas, including:

  • Mental Health Awareness
  • 5 Ways to Wellbeing
  • Understanding & Managing Emotions
  • Anxiety
  • Low Mood
  • Stress
  • Self-Harm
  • Transitions
  • Self-Esteem
  • OCD
  • Resilience
  • Promoting healthy Sleep
  • Mindfulness Techniques

Parent/Carer Information sessions:

Across the year, the MMST will provide information sessions for parents and carers. The information sessions dates for 2024-2025 can be found here.
