Social, Emotional and Mental Health

We are working closely with the NHS MindMate Support Team (MMST) to support children's emotional and mental health. The MMST are also providing information sessions for staff and parents/carers. Information about our partnership, including workshop materials can be found here.

Leeds SENDIASS

The Leeds Special Eduational Needs and Disabilities Information, Advice and Support Services (SENDIASS) provides information. advice and support, for parents/carers, children, and young people with Special Educational Needs. ​​It is impartial, confidential, and works at arm's length from the Local Authority and schools. The service is free and accessible to all parents and carers of children with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. Further information can be found on their website.

Scope

Scope is a disability equality charity which support families in Leeds by providing practical information and emotional support. Services inlcude:

Sleep Right - available to families with disabled children aged 2-18 years, the sleep practitioners specialise in working with parents/carers of children with a disability/additional needs and offer practical advice and tailored sleep programmes. Email them at Sleepright.leeds@scope.org.uk

Parents Connect - a 6-week support programme for parents and carers of young disabled people. Each session encourages parents and carers to talk to others in the group and provides information about local and national services. To apply, please email parentsconnect@scope.org.uk
